The Dodgers' financial mess took another bizarre turn Thursday when a team spokesman confirmed to NBC-LA that some employee checks had bounced.
Josh Rawitch, the Dodgers VP of communication, told the station that the total number of checks bounced was unavailable, but all employees - mostly part-time, game-day staff - were issued new checks. He also added that the team covered any bank fees.
Earlier this week, owner Frank McCourt - who is embroiled in a bitter divorce with his wife - entered into a $150 million bankruptcy arrangment with a group of New York lenders, which was authorized by a judge.Read more
