Amid mud, security Flight 93 dedication begins

A somber ceremony honoring the heroism of the 40 passengers and crew aboard Flight 93 on Sept. 11 is continuing with a reading of their names and the ringing of bells.
Vice President Joe Biden and former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, along with numerous relatives of the passengers and crew of United Flight 93, listened as each name was read under gray skies in a field soggy from rain all week in rural Pennsylvania.
Speakers at the dedication of the first phase of the $62 million Flight 93 National Memorial also include Gordon Felt, president of Families of Flight 93. His brother Edward telephoned a friend to report the flight was being hijacked.
