Tour Report: Johnson looks to start at Torrey Pines

Dustin Johnson has targeted the Farmers Insurance Open for his 2012 debut after offseason knee surgery.

Johnson’s agent, David Winkle of Hambric Sports Management, told the Myrtle Beach Sun New that Johnson hopes to play in the fourth PGA TOUR event of the season, which will be played at Torrey Pines Jan. 26-29. He tied for third at the Farmers Insurance Open a year ago.

The 27-year-old Johnson had arthroscopic surgery on Nov. 29 to repair cartilage damage in his right knee that had reportedly been bothering him since July. Judging by his "tweets," the five-time PGA TOUR champion is anxious to start competing again.
