Reds activate Chapman from disabled list

Aroldis Chapman will be optioned to Triple-A

Reds manager Dusty Baker said Aroldis Chapman (shoulder) will not be activated from the disabled list Wednesday.

Chapman's 30-day rehab assignment is up, so that means the Reds plan on optioning the left-hander to Triple-A Louisville in order to continue working through his problems. Chapman threw a perfect inning for Louisville Tuesday and has now thrown six straight scoreless innings, but evidently the Reds still aren't convinced he's ready to be thrown back into the fire.
